In spring 2023, I embarked on a new adventure to the Midwest, flying out of Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) bound for Lincoln, Nebraska. Although not as frequented as destinations like Chicago or Denver, Lincoln offers a distinct blend of history, culture, and community spirit that intrigued me.

After touching down, I was immediately struck by Lincoln’s welcoming vibe. The city feels both compact and vibrant, with an air of pride that stems from being the capital of Nebraska and home to the University of Nebraska–Lincoln (UNL).
