About Me
Uchenna Charles Aguoru
Founder, JourneyTimeTaste
Travel is not tourism. It is understanding.
I’m Uchenna Charles Aguoru — Army veteran, Network Systems Engineer, cultural travel storyteller, and travel advisor based in Easton, Maryland.
JourneyTimeTaste was created from a simple belief:
History must be experienced.
Culture must be tasted.
And travel should leave you more informed than when you arrived.
My Travel Philosophy
I do not travel for pictures alone.
I travel to:
• Walk historical grounds
• Understand institutions and governance
• Study the social fabric of nations
• Experience indigenous cuisine
• Observe culture beyond headlines
From Ghana’s slave castles to Gettysburg’s battlefields…
From Egypt’s ancient civilizations to Kenya’s national parks…
From Madrid and Havana to lesser-known American towns rich in untold history…
Every destination is documented through context — not just content.
The 50-State Mission
I am currently on a mission to visit all 50 U.S. states — documenting each through the lens of history, local identity, and indigenous cuisine.
This journey is not about checking boxes.
It is about understanding America beyond narratives — state by state, community by community.
Where Sport Meets Culture
As a lifelong Chelsea supporter and devoted football fan, my travels often include visits to iconic stadiums across the world — because sport is culture, and stadiums are modern cathedrals of identity.
Whether at Stamford Bridge, Santiago Bernabéu, or other historic grounds, these pilgrimages reflect how deeply sport shapes communities.
More Than a Blog
JourneyTimeTaste is evolving.
What began as reflective travel writing has grown into:
• Firsthand cultural analysis
• Institutional observations from global travel
• Indigenous culinary exploration
• Curated travel insights
• Personalized travel planning
I now help individuals and families plan intentional, culturally immersive travel experiences — grounded in real-world experience, not algorithms.
Why This Platform Exists
In a world of fast content and recycled opinions, I believe in lived experience.
This platform exists for those who value:
Depth over hype
Experience over assumptions
Context over clickbait
Travel should expand perspective.
It should challenge you.
It should teach you.
And sometimes, it should make you uncomfortable enough to think.
