The Czech Republic served as my primary base, with Prague offering one of the most beautifully preserved medieval cityscapes in the world. From Prague, I expanded my journey with day trips to Kutná Hora, Dresden, and Vienna—each offering its own unique contribution to European history, from medieval silver mining wealth to imperial capitals and wartime resilience.
This trip combined medieval heritage, imperial grandeur, and authentic Central European culture into one unforgettable historical journey.

Day 1 — April 12, 2025
Arrival in Prague, Czech Republic 🇨🇿
I arrived in Prague, the capital city of the Czech Republic and one of Europe’s most historically preserved cities. Known as the “City of a Hundred Spires,” Prague immediately impressed me with its Gothic architecture, medieval layout, and historic charm.

Prague Old Town and Medieval Heritage
This day focused on exploring Prague’s historic heart.

I explored Prague’s most iconic and historically significant landmarks.

Prague Castle, dating back to the 9th century, is the largest ancient castle complex in the world.

Day 4 — April 15, 2025
Day Trip to Kutná Hora, Czech Republic 🇨🇿
I took a day trip from Prague to Kutná Hora, a UNESCO World Heritage Site located approximately one hour from Prague.
Kutná Hora became one of Europe’s wealthiest cities during the Middle Ages due to its silver mines, which helped finance the Kingdom of Bohemia.

The Sedlec Ossuary is one of the most unique historical sites in the world, decorated with the bones of over 40,000 people, serving as a powerful reminder of medieval Europe’s relationship with mortality and faith.
St. Barbara’s Cathedral stands as a symbol of the city’s mining wealth and religious importance.
After the visit, I returned to Prague.

Day Trip to Dresden, Germany 🇩🇪
I traveled to Dresden, Germany, known as the “Florence on the Elbe.”
